Club Closed December 25th for Christmas

and Jauary 1 for New Years.

Please send up your email addresses so we can email you of upcoming events. When we send out notices your email address WILL NOT be displayed. Everything is sent blind copy so no one else can see it. You can email eagles2368@yahoo.com with your address and we will add you. This will keep you up on things so you don’t miss out. The club is always trying new things and Ken is coming up with new ideas all the time so sometimes it doesn’t get in the newsletter. This way you will be in the know so we hope to hear from you.

From the Prez

It’s been a busy time again. The backyard BBQ, the Family Picnic and everyone going all over on vacation and family get-togethers as well as the fairs. The BBQ was a great time again, the food was unbelievable. A great big thank you to everyone that came and helped and everyone who came for the meal. The picnic was a nice night and also everyone had a great time. I know the summer went by fast and I hope everyone had a great one. Let’s remeber that school is starting so lets be careful and watch out for the kids.

Scott Muzzy.

Hello Sisters,

Wow – where did the summer go. Another season is beginning and we have a few projects lined up. First thanks to those who helped with the summer projects - picnic, Bar B Q, blood drive just to name a few. We have a few scheduled for this fall. A rummage sale – buy a table for $10. Inside – no worry about the weather. Contact us or the office for a pre-paid table. You don’t have to be a member either. The money will go to help local charities who are struggling. We donated to the Troop 59 veteran’s memorial garden last month. We have a benefit breakfast on Oct 5th for the Little Brother/Little Sister program. Contact Kay Nelson or Tracy Anderson if you can help. The Hospice tree walk is coming the 5th & 6th of Dec. Can you help with baked goods for their sale? Contact one of the officers. Keep us in mind for meeting nights if you want to join us. We meet the 1st and 3rd Monday at 7:30pm. I would like to give my sympathies to all who have lost loved ones recently but especially to the families of Past President Muriel Steinhauer and Charter Member Esther Anderson. They both were a big part of our past as an auxiliary.

Have a wonderful fall Thanksgiving. Our lives will heat up and we will be very busy with our kids in school but don’t forget to stop at the club and support our efforts to be the best club in town. Your financial support both from paying your dues and stopping at the bar help us to be a big contributor to our community projects and charities. It’s amazing how much we give out.

Your President – Mick Hunt

Hi Everyone   Time for another newsletter, it seems like I just sent one out yesterday, just shows you how time flies by. Well the Schools are going to be starting once again and so the children will be going across the street every which way, so keep you eyes and ears open for them, because we don't want anything to happen to them, they are our future, hopefully they will become our new Eagle members.
We had our 2nd annual Back Yard Bar-B-Q and I have to admit it was a complete success.  We served a lot of people with most of them not waiting more then a few minutes. I don't have the exact count, but maybe the word will get out and everyone will know. A BIG Thank You goes out to all who volunteered their services to make this a complete success.  Thank you again.
We are very busy at the Eagles with all the activities going on including Weddings, Birthdays, or just plain Parties. Call our Mgr. Ken and line something up for whatever you want to call it, but don't wait to long or
you may not get the date you want. I hope you have a nice rest of the summer and drive careful to where ever you go and return home safely.
Remember to pay your dues on time or even ahead of time and save the cost for the club from sending you a card. That is all for this letter, more next time.
Your Secy Emil

Hello Auxiliary Sisters,

Wow another year has come and gone. I start my 18th year as your secretary. Where does the time go. This is starting out to be a tough year though. We are losing sisters left and right. We need you to continue. We sadly lost several to death this year. Our sympathy goes to the families of those sisters. We only have 2 charter members left now out of the original 50+. Some have quit with non payment of dues. Remember if you drop you lose your benefits. We had 2 members that passed this past 6 months who dropped and therefore lost their benefits with the Grand Aerie. That’s $200 their families could have used. It might not sound like alot but if you’ve been paying for years why stop now. The state membership theme this year is gaining 1 more member than you lose. We will have a struggle this year but I think we can do it. Please remember your friend or family member when thinking of someone to ask to join our auxiliary. Help us to continue to be “PEOPLE HELPING PEOPLE” that we strive to be. Ask for a membership form and sign someone up today. Remember if you pay your dues before I send you a dues notice you get a free drink ticket. You can find your dues date on your card under “dues paid to” Check it out and save the auxiliary some money by not having to send out a notice.

Kay Nelson - Secretary /Membership Chair

One Sunday morning, a mother went in to wake her son and tell him it was time to get ready for church, to which he replied, 'I'm not going.'
'Why not?' she asked.
I'll give you two good reasons,' he said. '(1), they don't like me, and (2), I don't like them.'
His mother replied, 'I'll give YOU two good reasons why YOU SHOULD go to church.
(1) You're 59 years old, and (2) you're the pastor!'

My grandpa started walking five miles a day when he was 60.
Now he's 97 years old and we don't know where he is.
